Have you heard about our newest product, Peek-A-Book Total Access?
Peek-A-Book Total Access is a web-based product that allows your library to select children’s book trailers and share them with your library patrons. Your staff can select from hundreds of titles and then share them through the Peek-A-Book Total Access website or through your library website. It’s a great way to empower your youngest readers to make their own reading decisions while also improving collection circulation rates.
We recently discovered that the code for Events and Room Reserve has an error within in it that could allow for malicious access by hackers and/or impact software performance.
We’d like to make it clear that no customer or patron data has been compromised by this issue, however, we are taking measures to fix it immediately.
Due to the nature of this particular code issue and because of our strong commitment to both customer and patron privacy, we are requesting that ALL Evanced customers upgrade their Events and Room Reserve sites as soon as possible.
If your Events and/or Room Reserve sites are host on Evanced Servers and you were already on Version 7 or higher by January 1, 2012 then your site has been updated to the most current version (7.17) and that newest enhancement resolves the code issue.
If your sites are hosted by Evanced but are on a version older than 7 OR if your site is hosted by you on your own server, please contact us to arrange a specific upgrade day/time.
Your version information can be found by clicking on the “About” link located on the maintenance side of the products.
PLEASE NOTE: If an appointment for upgrade is not arranged by February 3rd, we will be automatically upgrading your site if it is hosted on our servers.
Contact us at support@evancedsolutions.com to arrange your upgrade day/time. Please allow our support staff some time to respond to your inquiry. Your requests will be responded to in the order received. We appreciate your understanding and patience with us.

Many of our Summer Reader customers are part of state-level contracts for the product. Those states ask their libraries to use Summer Reader to manage all facets of reading programs in their community. Libraries in small, rural communities often ask us how they can use Summer Reader to help them with statistics tracking while still using paper reading logs. Below is a video tutorial to help you with set up.

We can help! We have two great winter themed templates for you that are easy to upload to Summer Reader. Plus, Upstart has a selection of matching prices available at low prices so that you can offer great incentives. We even built posters to help with promotion!
That blue thumbs-up button from Facebook has become a part of our culture in many ways – and now can be a part of your Events calendar! If you’d like to have a dynamic Facebook “like” button on your library program descriptions, you now can.
The Facebook functionality must be turned on by the Evanced Support staff. You can contact them at support@evancedsolutions.com to request Facebook functionality in Events.
The Carson City Library in Nevada has officially opened their BranchAnywhere location at the area Boys and Girls club.
As BranchAnywhere was being set up, many students and parents came up asking when they could use the new location! It was exciting to hear that so many community members were waiting for the set up to be complete!
We received this photo today – it was a busy grand opening!
