Batters Up! We have a surprise! Spring Reading!
As you all know, we generally only host a Fall and Winter reading program for libraries. But with the launch of our newest version of Summer Reader – including the new mobile web version – we thought it might be a good idea to have a Spring Reading program for library staff members. It’s like Spring Training…sorta.
You can sign up here: http://staff.evanced.info/christine/sr/homepage.asp
Registration begins March 4.
Reading Logs Open March 14 and Close on April 24.
Here are the rules:
This program is open to librarians and library employees only. The program is open to anyone LibraryLand – not just Evanced customers. Our goal is to give library staff members a chance to win cool stuff!
Each week, if you publish an item review, you will be entered into a random drawing to win baseball tickets to see your local minor league baseball team play this summer. Not a baseball fan? Well, then consider them our donation to your Summer Reading prize stash. If you don’t have a minor league team near you, we’ll send you a cool baseball themed prize pack.
GRAND PRIZE: The program ends on April 22. Anyone who logs more than 24 hours or 1,440 minutes is entered for the grand prize drawing: a gift pack of bookmarks and mini-posters with your summer reading theme PLUS a $50 Amazon gift card!
Here’s what you can log:
Reading…anything (books, magazines, work stuff), Watching (movies, television series on DVD, etc.), Listening (CDs, Books On Tape, etc.), Gaming (video games, computer games)
Any type of materials a library might circ can be counted! How easy is that?!?!?!
So, sign up, log in, and have fun!
And to you baseball fans, get ready, because you’re going to have a sad summer after the Detroit Tigers teach your teams what baseball is all about. (Not that I’m smug or anything…)
