All About User Access Log-In Levels

When you received your Summer Reader, Events, or Room Reserve site, it was set for basic security.  Basic security means that the system comes with four default passwords that allow users to access different areas of the site, depending on the password used.  A Volunteer level password would only allow a staff member to look up information and read what they find, but not edit that information.  Whereas, an Administrator password allows users to change anything and everything on the site.

Need a cheat sheet to help you remember what security levels allow what type of access?

Here’s a link with that information for Room Reserve and Events.

And here’s a link to that information for Summer Reader.

Remember that if you decide to activate Advanced Security, the same roles apply as found above, but you can assign the roles to particular users, and give those users usernames and passwords.

Let me know if you have any questions!
