When you received your Summer Reader, Events, or Room Reserve site, it was set for basic security. Basic security means that the system comes with four default passwords that allow users to access different areas of the site, depending on the password used. A Volunteer level password would only allow a staff member to look up information and read what they find, but not edit that information. Whereas, an Administrator password allows users to change anything and everything on the site.
Need a cheat sheet to help you remember what security levels allow what type of access?
Here’s a link with that information for Room Reserve and Events.
And here’s a link to that information for Summer Reader.
Remember that if you decide to activate Advanced Security, the same roles apply as found above, but you can assign the roles to particular users, and give those users usernames and passwords.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Our Room Reserve customers received an email today linking to a survey asking for their experiences with Room Reserve.
If you’re a Room Reserve customer, we hope you’ll take a few minutes to complete the survey. You can find the survey here.
Your input is very important as we begin the process of creating a new version of Room Reserve. Please share the link to the survey with you staff members!
Thank you,

Two software notes to keep you updated on the latest in Evanced-land.
Firefox 6 was released today. So far, it seems that all is well with the way our software works on the newest release. We’ll continue testing, but if you notice anything, please contact us at support@evancedsolutions.com.
Do you use the Facebook functionality available in Summer Reader? If you do, and if you plan to run a fall reading program, please contact the support team for an upgrade if you host your site on your own server. On October 1, Facebook will be changing some aspects of their API. If you do not upgrade Summer Reader, Facebook functionality will not work correctly. All sites hosted on Evanced servers will be automatically updated.
Have a great Wednesday!
